As our Spirit Week 2024 has come to a close, we are excited to announce that our Spirit Week 2025 beneficiary applications will be released on December 1st. These applications will close on February 1st, so please ensure you have yours turned in by this date!
We are so excited to introduce our 2024 Spirit Week Beneficiary, the Emerson Rose Heart Foundation! This is a charity that helps to change the lives of both infants and their families in the Upstate by supporting them through the scary times of having a congenital heart defect. The core values of this great organizations are as follows: improving the quality of medical care for children with congenital heart defects; providing support to children and families impacted by congenital heart defects; funding research grants in areas such as heart transplant early rejection detection in order to improve outcomes; and AED / CPR training in schools and communities.
Our goal is to significantly grow the the number of infants and families served by this this charitable organization. Once we exceed our goals in the Upstate, we look forward to assisting The Emerson Rose Heart Foundation with raising funds for infants with congenital heart defects throughout the world. The Emerson Rose Heart Foundation will pay for these infants, who otherwise have only a small chance of survival, to receive life-saving care! We believe that our funding is going to an extremely deserving non-profit, as it is improving survival rates and quality of life for very vulnerable children. Through collaboration with the Emerson Rose Heart Foundation, our goal is to change the lives of infants and families in not only the Upstate, but across the globe and defeat the scary times that are common with having a congenital heart defect.
170+ CHD children are born in the Upstate each year, and 20 percent of those children will not live to celebrate their first birthday. Together, we can change that statistic! The Emerson Rose Heart Foundation is truly making a change through increasing awareness about conginetal heart defects, supporting families, advancing medical care, and spreading hope! We are eager to engage as many people and businesses in our community to get as involved as possible.
Your passion, help, and contributions will help us make a difference! We thank you in advance for spreading the word and considering this wonderful organization in your philanthropic plans this year.
